Tornado Pt. 2

Sean was asking if I had any pictures of the damage yesterday. I didn't have a camera with me unfortunately, but this site has a link to a video that shows a lot of the aftermath.

Inclement Weather

Some of you may have heard in passing today that a tornado or two touched down in Southern Ontario this afternoon, right outside of a town called Fergus.

Fergus is 10 minutes south of my house.

Needless to say, it was a little weird to drive down that familiar stretch of road and see overturned cars,destroyed barns,splintered trees and houses missing half a floor. Tow trucks were hauling wrecks away, and cars were lined up rubbernecking for half a kilometre.

It's a little weird when I think about it. Slightly different weather patterns, and that could have been my house, my car, my family.

I'm just glad I have amanda and great family and friends. Now everyone needs to avoid tornadoes and we'll be fine.

Just a quick update tonight because I have to wake up in 6 hours and 20 minutes. Love that work.

This weekend went pretty well. It was good seeing Jarrett's place on Saturday, and we just took it easy and hung out all day. Our video game hunt was successful and somehow we managed to find the Eaton's Centre without getting lost. Will wonders never cease.

Sunday saw me and Amanda at my house babysitting my dogs, who are both insane. Nobody was seriously injured thankfully. I would have been fine with me being injured, but those dogs better not cause bodily harm to each other or Amanda.

Poodles are VICIOUS.

I finally picked a work report topic today. I'm going to write a report comparing practices of our company to the software development cycle, and using it to highlight things we do right and wrong.
