To do: Don't fail any more midterms

It's been quite the week, mainly due to the CS 341 midterm on Thursday night. It didn't quite approach Math 239 levels of ridiculousness (at least I could understand what the questions were asking), but it was easily the worst computer science exam I've ever taken. I (and hopefully everyone else) will now spend the weekend diligently praying for a huge curve.

On a funny note, we have a new convert to the church of ds lite of latter day saints. Laura bought a white one yesterday on a whim, which brings the number of new converts this term to two. She also bought Super Princess Peach, which means I can try it without feeling like a huge girl.

Now, it's time to eat some lunch and study for the 360 midterm on Tuesday. It's only an hour and twenty minutes, what could go wrong?

Warn Your Warmth To Turn Away

Wow, over 2 months. That's got to be some sort of horrible record for not updating a blog. Unless you count my other one, which is apparently still floating around the nether regions of the internet.

This term has been going surprisingly quick so far, quicker than any previous ones. Maybe it's because I haven't had to do the interview thing on top of all of my other responsibilities. I'm pretty sure that would have made me 'le crazy', as the French say. CS turns up the heat a notch or two every term, which is more than enough pressure for me. Not enough to make me go nuts or anything, but enough to make me wistfully think about dropping into English every once in a while.

All I can say is that I'm supremely happy I didn't take OS this term. Oh Lord, perish the thought. Sean, you have my sympathy.

It hasn't all been soul crushing Context Free Grammars though. The *entire* world doesn't run in O(nlogn) time. Amanda and I convinced Sean to buy a DS Lite, and we're looking to converting more people to the wacky cult of people with cool handheld electronic games. If we can convince Jarrett and Gee to buy one, we can be "those nerds who are always playing their game boys".

In other news, I'm apparently going to have two unknown roommates next term in TO. I lucked out getting Laura and John last term, as neither of them fit the "traditional mathie" mold. If I get some of the people who hang out in comfy and discuss World of Warcraft 24 hours a day, I'm going to hide in my closet and die.

Shit, I don't have a closet.
